License Problems After a Domain Change
Updates or the Template Library stopped working after moving the site
Your Nectarblocks activation is bound to the domain it was registered on. After a move, the plugin shows a notice on its admin screens (administrators only) with a Transfer license to your-new-domain.com button. Click it once; the page reloads when the transfer completes and updates and the Template Library work again.
Things to check if the notice or the button does not behave as expected:
- No notice is shown. The notice only appears on Nectarblocks admin screens (the Nectarblocks admin panel and its tabs) and only to users who can manage options. It also stays hidden once dismissed for that particular old/new domain pair.
- You dismissed it by mistake. Open the Authorization tab, enter your serial key and press Register — registering at the current domain has the same effect as a transfer.
- "This license has been transferred too many times recently." A key can be transferred three times in seven days. Wait and try again.
- "This site's activation was released from your Nectarblocks account." The seat was deregistered in the account portal. Register the key again from the Authorization tab.
- "This license has reached its maximum number of activations." Free a seat in your Nectarblocks account first, then register or transfer again.
The full list of transfer messages is on the Licensing page.
The notice appeared on a staging site or a clone
Do not transfer. A staging copy or cloned database is indistinguishable from a moved site, and a transfer deactivates the original activation. Dismiss the notice instead; it stays dismissed for that old/new domain pair.
"This site's license is no longer active"
The activation was released from your account (deregistered in the portal, refunded, or the key was cancelled) or could not be renewed automatically. Follow the Manage license link in the notice or open the Authorization tab, enter your key and press Register. If the key was cancelled, contact support.
